ABOUT ME
I was born in New Jersey and have lived and worked for most of my life in New York City. In the mid 80s, I left New York and moved to Mexico where I studied at the Instituto de Bellas Artes in Cuernavaca and found work in a studio producing monumental figurative sculptures. It was during that time that I began exploring my own visual voice in depth and started exhibiting my sculpture. When I returned to the United States I set up a studio in New York City, but over the years I have continued to spend periods of time working in Mexico. My sculptures always contain the human figure or a fragment of the figure. The work focuses on how interior and exterior environments define us, and uses the human form to explore how those environments affect our strengths and weaknesses.
